We can advise you on how to comply in the most considered and cost-effective ways, and how to maximise the opportunities offered by low-carbon incentives. And since the regulations are aimed at lowering carbon emissions and creating an environmentally friendly workplace, it will be worth your while.

Part L Building Regulations

The EPBD establishes minimum standards of energy efficiency for new cooling and heating equipment; Part L of the Building Regulations enforces many of its requirements, rated according to a system’s type and efficiency.

Energy Performance Directive Regulations

EPBD legislation now requires a business’s air conditioning systems with a combined output of 12kw or over to be inspected every five years. The inspection report assesses the systems’ efficiency and maintenance, identifies any faults and suggests improvements, which could range from servicing the system and replacing filters to replacing the entire plant.

F-Gas

Since 2007, operators of stationary air conditioning, refrigeration and heat pump equipment have been subject to regulations aimed at reducing fluorinated greenhouse gases (F-gases). The regulations cover containment, record-keeping, inspection and testing for leakages, and the use of properly certified personnel to recover gases.

R-22 refrigerant Ban

New legislation is enforcing the removal and replacement of the low temperature refrigerant- R22 refrigeration system. R22 refrigerants are widely used throughout process chiller and industrial refrigerant plants, although these changes in legislation will affect any company that sustains the need for or has a high requirement for R22 refrigeration.
